As for the topic event ..... TV is a city of 100,000+ and it will have it's % of people like this .... just like anywhere else. Believe it or not, TV is not Disney World.
The woman who just started this thread is no different than the other site. Why keep feeding all the bad news and then turn around and get offended when one makes a negative comment about the place. Craycray

I heard the old guy told police he was thinking about retiring from exposing himself.... but decided to stick it out for another year.

I heard the case was dismissed for "lack of evidence" .

Something I do not comprehend. According to the article, the man said it was only a misunderstanding.

How can being charged with exposing himself at two different pools be a misunderstanding? Pulling up his swim trunks after climbing out of the pool if they had drooped too low? Tucking in the squirrel after getting up from a chair?

If there were recreation employees at all pools full time who would check all pool visitors as they come in the gate - and to be available for questions and complaints - this type of incident could be nipped in the bud.

Don:;t know where you lived before but I have seen this stuff all before everywhere I lived. Not aware of any paper that did not report this stuff!

It's not that "big of a deal" that I want my amenities fee to pay for pool guards.

This is from "the other site report".

According to written arrest affidavits from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office, many of the people who had observed the alleged behavior were so shocked they were initially reluctant to report it to authorities. Some indicated they simply stopped going to the pool.

Why the hell wouldn't you report something like this? I find fault with these folks.

These are your own words Abster.

"Sadly this place is no better than any other small town. It seems a lot of people bought into the idea of this being free of all bad. There are thieves, sex offenders, drug addicts and drunks. The best you can do is be aware of your surroundings and take the necessary precautions to afford yourself a safe environment. I do think the paper does all of us an injustice in not printing what REALLY is going on in the area. We continue to grow. With that growth will come many more problems."

That would be incredibly expensive! There are at least 72 neighborhood pools, maybe more by now.

72 pools x 12 hours per day x $8 hourly wage = $6,912 per day in wages for the neighborhood pools alone.

I agree a lot of money, to stop something that isn't happening every day.

Yes, it is a considerable amount of money. It does not bother me as I do not go to pools too often but I have seen threads here regarding the pool crashers from outlaying communities and lots of posters were very angry at that. There was a thread about a man bathing at a pool, there was a thread about a drug user shooting up at a pool, and now a man exposes himself at two pools. Obviously, some people are very upset.

I proposed a possible solution. Are there any other possible solutions or is the consensus just to leave it as is?

When I read the story in the online newspaper about the 8 AM public activity, I was really hoping no-one would start a thread on it, for the above reason. But there were two threads started, same topic.
