Default AAA club

Do you have AAA now that you are in TV. The auto part would be minimal, but is it worth it for your travel? We are looking at short trips in the state and wonder if getting hotels and info is worth the money for us to renew.

We just renewed our AAA, but only because I am paranoid. I know the second we don't renew, we will break down or have a problem. If we leave TV, it is to go to Disney or the beach, so we would want AAA. In the instances I just checked for hotels, AARP was the same price or cheaper than AAA.

For my wife and I . We feel it is something that is like insurance . AAA was there when we need help. They also have great maps. Can recommend places that we may miss on our own. Howeverver each person must decide for themselves what they need or not need.

If you want it just for travel services, hotel, maps, etc. It isn't worth it. You can get the same deals if not better online or just asking the hotel for their best rate. If they ask are you a member of whatever say yes. I travel a lot and have never been asked for membership card to wherever when checking in. If they do hey I am old and confused. AAA charges different rates in each state and mine was expensive. So I use Coach-Net better coverage for less. I no longer have an RV but they don't care as long as I send them the money every year. I have used them in several states with and without an RV involved and the service was great. One time some joker came through and slashed everyone's tires. I called my road service and was one of the first to get towed.

Who uses maps in the era of GPS ?, like who uses a phone book?. Our cars have life time road service-- we never use AARP- because of their political stance-- in my honest opinion in this day & age AAA is a dinosaur

We have road service covered with our new car so we did not renew after 30 years. So far haven't missed it.

Default AAA and Golf Carts

I have had AAA for years in California. Just curious if I could use their roadside service if I ran out of gas in my golf cart after I arrive in TV on November 1st? Any answers?

We have **** Aide for the cart. NOTE: guess you can't use the name if the company. It is cart with a K instead of C.

We have had AAA coverage for as long as I can remember. We recently retired and were thinking that we probably didn't need it any longer on one of our vehicles at least (a truck we rarely use). We actually took that vehicle to move some furniture and it suddenly died at the storage unit. This was right before coverage expired. Needless to say we renewed. AAA was there within an hour and got us going again until we can get a new battery. Saved us a lot of headache. We also travel a lot and stay in hotels and enjoy the AAA benefit . Also 10% off at some restaurants as well along with discounted theme park admissions.

Checked out their web site and it all makes sense. Never thought about what you do if you get a flat tire in a golf cart--no jack or a spare tire. I will definitely join after getting to TV. Thanks for the tip.
