Default lanai water drainage

Hi,
A while back I remember reading a post about a gentleman living in The Villages who designed a simple device that allowed excess water to run out of a lanai / birdcage. We now find ourselves in need of such a solution and would appreciate anyone who could help us get in touch with him.

We just had him install 6 drains on our lanai Saturday. Bob has patented the design! The number is 352-259-2744 and the name of the company is BJ'S Service. Really, it's ingenious!

I remember that post and investigated and it seem expensive to me. So what I did was go to the area where it puddles, loosen the screws that hold the frame down to the patio, insert a small shim about 1/16" thick under the frame and retighten. I used a piece of plastic, actually a portion of a heavy duty wire tie for the shim. Now the water runs right out and the small gap is unseen.
