I like the Sun.

I imagine that if what is reported here is true that there will be news about it in tomorrow's paper.

I haven't ever seen violence here in three years time. I wonder what caused this.

Gracie, Never fear. Jumping from a car and attacking with a pipe. This kind of attack smacks of something personal. Unlikely to be random.

I disagree.

Road rage is random. If I was planning to attack someone with a pipe, I wouldn't do it in the middle of the town square.

Since I don't live in The Villages, yet, I don't get to read the Sun, but I got to thinking that as far as reportage is concerned, I wonder if bad stuff is downplayed. There is an image issue for The Villages. For myself, I'd rather know the facts, but "editing the movie" to get a PG rating has become politically correct.

Wow, it's hard to believe something like this happened in TV. However, it won't stop us from moving there!

Yes, it will be interesting to see if its reported in the Daily Sun.

Yes, IMHO. That's why we call TV The Bubble! But sometimes it is calming to read about quilting bees as opposed to wars, famine and violence.

I agree with you that if this attack was promulgated by road rage, then it was likely random. Hopefully 5 mph traffic at the square did not feed road rage. I favor the love triangle motive.

Will those involved be residents or younger visitors, do you think?

Default My guess

The "Daily Fun" will gloss over this story....Sure hope the bloodied man is OK....My, my, my...Wish everyone involved had adopted the "Brillo technique"!

When we were down in July, we were up at Spanish Springs on the weekend and noticed alot of young people hanging out. There was a policeman parked right at the Square both nights. We wondered if there had been problems there on the weekends.

It will be reported in the Daily Sun if there is police involved. At least that is what I see when I read the Sun. There is constant reporting of these types in the Police Blotter.

Surely folks don't expect them to do a feature on it.

I guess we'll have to wait for the blotter...I didn't see anything about the incident in the Sun this morning.

Same here. The blotter had a week ago Saturday but not this Saturday yet.

Nothing else I could see.

Since this incident happened at 9 p.m. on Sunday night, there's a pretty good chance that at that late a time (especially on a Sunday) it would not have sufficient time to make the Monday morning paper. If it is reported at all I'd probably look for it on Tuesday.
