He was a licensed plumber and thus it was his constitutional right to carry a pipe.

I don't want to laugh and make fun if something serious happened or if someone was really hurt. BUT, that was hilarious! ROFL

I was there

We were leaving the theatre and on the side of the square across from Hagendas a red SUV stopped, a man jumped out and hit him over the head. He was on the street bleeding so people called 911. Many emergency vehicle arrived and put him on a backboard and took him away. He was probably in his 40s or early 50s so I wondered if he was not a Villager. It was raining at the time so there was blood all around his head but people put something on his head to stop the blood.

Sorry, Sally, that does not sound credible. It would have been reported in BOTH the Orlando Sentinel and Daily Sun.

There were many people at the outside bar at Red Sauce and the police were questioning them.

Hi Mac,
Did your friend actually see the led pipe and the beating, or just it's aftermath? Was he told what had just happened, or did he see the crime committed?

If he saw a pipe beating, what were the approx. age ranges of the perp and the victim? Was the perp driving a car or was he a passenger? Did your friend call the police? Were poice already there? Was he interviewed by police?

As I said, I was there

Credible or not, that is what happened. And I WAS THERE.

Why wouldn't it sound credible?

Freeda 10-10-2011 07:26 PM

We were leaving the movies with some friends around 9:30 PM from seeing The Ides of March that had started at 7:30 PM and we were parked at the square, across from Nantucket Bay. We saw the lights from what looked like at least two emergency or police vehicles at the side of the square that is nearest the lake, and people had congregated down there, but we didn't go down there or talk to anyone who seemed to know what had happened.

buggyone 10-10-2011 07:27 PM

It does not sound credible because there was no mention of it in either the Orlando Sentinel or Daily Sun.

Obvioulsy, someone got injured in some manner and the story grew and grew to someone jumping out of a car and beating someone else with a lead pipe. This is just human nature.

IAMDMRAE 10-10-2011 07:28 PM

That's a pretty dumb comment!

Why would something like that be mentioned in the papers, it wasn't murder after all.
