. I find that equally annoying, again it is something I really just try to ignore. We all have our needs and expectations. Some people expect certain things and are vocal about it. It doesn't make them a whiner, it could just make them a little more astute and assertive then someone who buries their head in the sand. And I know the posse will jump all over me for voicing this, and make me out to be a negative, mean person, with little to live for. And guess what, do you really think I care?
And then there's the people who complain constantly about the developer & everything he does like he's the evil devil.

Its like you read my mind......TOTV is becoming a place to worship the developer and not a forum for issues and desires for change.

Not a god, just a business and they are looking out for the bottom line...cash....Dont think for a minute that they would allow something likes outside bus companys invade there space....they want control of every aspect of your life and your wallet.

And they are doing this for you....but the bottom line is they want more of your money..

It's too bad you felt the need to add that end to your sentence. I think that such a remark is why some people jump to defend an opposing viewpoint. I understand people supporting the developer for what has been accomplished here and I also understand those who see opportunities to improve the community. What always bothers me is those, on either side, who assert that their position is more correct because the opposition is somehow less knowledgeable, less refined, less worldly, or . . .

So what? The Villages is a BUSINESS, it is not a city. When you can do better, open your own and COMPETE for business.

If you don't like something (and some posters hate everything) don't patronize it. That includes The Villages. Some people never hesitate to say they'll NEVER AGAIN go to a restaurant or store they don't like but continue to do business with The Villages when they are so unhappy with it. It makes ZERO sense.

Misery loves company and that is never more evident than reading some folks on here.

YMMV.

If I owned the Villages, I would want more of everyone's money too !!!
Then I would buy a yacht bigger than Cracker Bay and take all my friends on a nice little cruise.

oooops I misread what you posted. At first I thought "Who would want a yacht bigger than Cracker Barrel? What a silly thing to say."

Damn straight. In business, the golden rule applies.

"Those with the gold make the rules."

I choose to patronize the business known as The Villages. By doing that, I understand it is their way or the highway. I wish everyone understood that.

You know a yacht that looks like a Cracker Barrel is a pretty good idea. You got all those tables and a nice kitchen. Plus the souvenir shop with jellies from all over the south and the rocking chairs to look over the bow. I hope I get invited.
