Default Admin Police

I would like to know how many of you get your hands slapped with the ruler by the admin police? It seems to me they are like Big Brother, always watching and listening, or in this case reading. Do you have nothing else better to do in the day in TV but read the posts waiting and waiting for someone to say something funny but you thought was inappropriate? You just want us to write or comment on fluffy silly things around the villages? Should we never say anything negative about a restaurant's food or the service, or how about that dog doing it's dirty business on my lawn or someone else's....Oh and those crazy drivers and those awful policemen who pull over us villagers and give us tickets we don't deserve....I tried to make light of a post and as usual the admin got very excited over nothing. Lets see, we can't talk politics anymore, and when so much is going on in the middle east. Get a life Admin....get outside and experience the villages for yourself....Oh and now you'll send me another note saying I was attacking you....well go ahead....can't wait. We really got to stop meeting like this!

I love the admins and the great work they do. and your post deserves to be eliminated. it is their livelihood and they do it well.
Further, I've made about all the comments you disclaim as being allowed and they were allowed.

I also think the admin's do a great job. If you look at other message boards on line and un related to the Villages you will find they are "policed" and have posts deleted all the time.

Your original post here is a the best example I have seen in a while of "self fulfilling prophecy"

I've only been a member since 12-22-2012, and this is my 5th post (I think). I don't live in TV yet, but have been a lurker here for a couple of years. With that said, I don't understand the OP. These are the finest admin(s) that I have encountered. I frequent over a dozen hot rod boards and wish the admin(s) would work /watch harder. THANK YOU to the admin(s) here on TOTV. Just my $0.02.

Hey Crummy: I can guarantee you I am not the admin. I am just a guy that appreciates polite discourse. I will say this and I am not judging you and the following is based on my perception of your "style" in reading many of your posts. Your posts certainly have an "edge" to them and maybe that is why this happens.

I mean no disrespect, just my honest observation.

Not far off. In some circles they are referred to as "goody two shoes". There are many more who have not yet responded to your comments, but they will. They also all have in common an unrelenting affection for the Developer who can do no wrong, even when he's wrong. Although your courage is admirable, you won't find many more supporters.

Every forum I'm on (garden, travel, TOtV) has a moderator/admin who monitors and posts and removes objectionable ones. If you want to REALLY let it hang out, go to the comments section of any online newspaper or NPR, or digit or reddit (SP?). They don't give a rip what is said. The posters there are just downright nasty to one another.

I'll take my forums with moderators, thank you. You can figure out how to post your opinion without being censored. It's not hard. Otherwise, see the above sites.

The greeting, "Hey Crummy" is in and of itself, disrespectful!

The admins are doing their job. This is how they make their living. No, they don't live in TV.
It's really their candy store. They set and enforce the rules.
I've had no disagreements with admin. A few comments but nothing to get all excited about.

The developer does lots of stuff wrong and I am not a good two shoes, far from it.

I do not see what the connection is between the develoer and the TOTV site. It is not owned by the developer , he has no interest in it

Crummy Buttons is a screen name, just like John Smith is a street name. Would you engage somebody with "Hey John or Hey Smith" ? Thats all, no disrespect.

Use of the contraction you chose is disrespectful. "Hey Crummy" has a distinct negative connotation that you apparently can't relate to.
