Default adult children living at the Villages

We own a home in the Villages. But we do not reside there full time. Our 27 year old daughter may be getting a job in the close proximity of our house. Are there any rules preventing her from living there even though we are not there full time?

27 y/o - no rules. Under 19 - one rule - not allowed! The other thing is that she may not be able to get a Resident ID Card, Entrance Gate Pass, etc. which can be a hassle. To get that stuff, you have to (a) be on the deed to the property or (b) prove permanent Florida residency by a Florida drivers license or Florida ID Card (for non-drivers) or (c) be a renter which would require you to give up your TV ID Card.

That's right...but if you choose B then she also needs her voter registration card and some sort of utility bill showing or bank account with the house address on it...

Cassie325 and Bryan thanks for your response. I think b would be the easiest answer and I don't see a problem meeting any of those requirements. Thanks for ur responses.

My 24 year old sone lives in my house. I visit when I can. He has an ID and full use of the amenities. He needed the FL Driver's license, utility bill, and a change of address card that the post office sends out. A voter registration card could have substituted for the change of address card. I also had to "sponsor" him. If you go to the customer service for VCDD on 466 at the east end of southern trace you can walk out with a card.

As it worked out, yes. He's a junior. The utility bill s one of the items that can prove residency. Since he's here, and I am only a visitor, he's paying for DirectTV so that bill is in his name anyway.

Only required to have 80% over 55 - common to most retirement developments.
