We have lived in The Villages for just over a year and our son's car just died. Not sure what dealers are trustworthy in the area and looking out for flood cars. If you have a vehicle with less than 100,000 miles for sale, please send a private message. He has cash and is scanning the classifieds in this forum, as well as Next Door, Facebook marketplace, and the usual car websites. Thanks in advance.

Just be very VERY careful even if private listing. Our son, law student, was suckered into a private ad.... female member of military, leaving for over seas duty, etc. etc. It did not end well ! All a scam. "PERHAPS", that's "perhaps", answering an ad right here in the Villages could be a bit "safer", we have known a number of people who, after living here a few months, decided NOT to continue the expense of two automobiles once they found they can do nicely with one golf cart and one auto, but it a very "dangerous" buyer beware" world for sure.

Great advice! And yes, we are hoping someone is downsizing their vehicle fleet here in The Villages and our son can get a good reliable vehicle. Thanks again!

good advice here , but it might help to put a little ad in villages paper, saying looking to buy , you may get a hit from some private buyer

Have you tried Carmax in Ocala? They seem to have a lot of used cars. The ones that have 80 to 100K miles are about $10-12K. You can check out their inventory online.
