Do your own "meet and greet"....don't wait for the neighbors to come to you. Go up and introduce yourself. Heck, why not throw a driveway party? No need to fuss. Just beer in a cooler and a bag of chips and you are good to go. Trust me, know one cares if you have boxes everywhere and you don't have fancy appetizers. We all know the thrill of finally arriving and I'm sure your neighbors will want to share in your joy.

My advice? Put all the boxes in the garage and open them up very slowly, don't work too hard to the point of exhaustion. You have a long time to open them up and put them away. Do like I did... open only the immediate necessities and start ASAP to go out and enjoy the fun. I'll be waiting for you at Waterfront so we can dance and have some fun ... okay???

(I think I still have one box in the garage after 5 years,, lol) Obviously I dont need the stuff in it...
I dare you to just throw that box away, without looking inside!

Final 3 days of packing. It is so time-consuming getting rid of stuff! Makes you aware of the not-so-important things you have stashed in drawers, and extra clothes (books, magazines, golf clubs, etc.) you don't use. PURGE is the word. TENSE is the other one. We have learned the boxing business is a lucrative field!

But, yes, we've had a lot of laughs along the way. The excitement of moving to TV is the predominant thought on our minds. It has been our dream since 2006.

Hope our sore, "lifting boxes" backs heal along the way. See you soon!

Safe travels to TV. If you are driving I-75 out of Cincinnati, honk and wave as you pass Florence, KY as my sister and her family live in the suburb next to Florence.

Schaumburger,

I'm afraid if we "honked" at 6 a.m. when we drive by your sister's house, your sister's neighbors would not be happy. Maybe we'll just so a "silent wave."
