Default New Warranty Department policy and information source.

Hello all, I was told today that the warranty department just made a slight change that new homeowners will want to know about. Now once you close on your new house, the punch list or check list they want from you MUST be submitted within the first 7 days...no longer 30 days.

The only exception is if you closed remotely, if you were not here for the close, or if you were only here for that closing and then went back to your existing home, then ONLY IF the house stays vacant until you return, you can then submit your check list within 7 days of your return.

ALSO, if you decide to use a home inspector to do your check list or punch list inspection, (not the 10 or 11th month inspection, that's different) that will be considered your checklist and you cannot turn in another check list, as it would be redundant.

The Warranty department also just came out with a new website that has the warranty forms, great info, etc. Check it out at Home Page - The Villages Residential Construction and Home Warranty : The Villages Residential Construction and Home Warranty. If you have any questions on this, feel free to call the warranty department at 352-753-6222. Hope this helps!
