Do the air ducts in homes really need to be cleaned, or is it enough to clean the filters? I know that there are companies that do duct cleaning and I am sure that they will say that it is necessary, but does anyone know if they really get dirty?

yes you should go aned llok at one while it is being cleaned. there is a lot of dirt that comes out of the ducts. they also clean the furnace. I han mine done this summer. The cost is around 400 dollars

A good filter or changing one on a regular basis should make the duct cleaning unnecessary.

We had the air ducts cleaned at our home in Ohio a few months ago. You would NOT BELIEVE the amount of stuff that came out of them! Just wads of hair and dust and you name it. I definitely recommend having the ducts cleaned. Yuck!
