Whatever service or person I would choose, I would be cautious of leaving them alone in a room where there might be money, valuables, or prescriptions.

I have to agree.

I have heard a lot of stories and feel that some of them are true about some cleaning services. I feel bad for the ethical ones, but it is important to get as much information as you can before you allow anyone into your home these days. I thought I would never write anything like that here in The Villages that I love. But times are changing ....sadly.

First of all, you must be acknowledged as a newbie to TOTV! Welcome, and may you decide that this is your best source of information ever!

I have used MaidPro (formerly Daisy Maids) for most of my time here, now just over nine years. 352-314-9070. Once a month in my Gardenia = $129. Many think that's high, but the gals who come (usually, 2 each visit, sometimes 3) are thorough and pleasant.

Yes, I am always here when they are; would, quite frankly, never let anyone do their thing when I wasn't present!

Worth giving them a try. If you establish a more-or-less standard schedule, you'll usually end up with the same team each time, and you'll both benefit!

I and quite a few of my friends us "At Your Service". The owners, Coty and Cheryl are wonderful. I wish they could come every day.

The house sparkles and smells great. It is not surface clean, it is really clean.

You can contact them at 352-633-3953

Not to contradict the wisdom of the warning about valuables, money or prescriptions, but whenever I read police reports of home break-ins and thefts, I wonder why people keep cash and valuables in the house, instead of in a bank safe deposit box or (money) in a bank account. A home safe doesn't protect these either, because they get broken into or smaller ones get carried off.

As for narcotics, if I had any I would probably count them before the first and second cleaning, and if any were missing it would be "you are fired" on the spot.

Reputable cleaning services have bonding insurance.
