We are coming up to our one year anniversay living in our Duval home. While we are only part timers, we have spent many wonderful days and had some great time at the Duval pool.

All folks have been so very friendly. My favorite is Dino - all at Duval know him!

If that is your attempt to be humorous, it's lame at best. I consider that to be derogatory and shows a negative bias toward the Italians who call The Villages their home.

I'm sure Rubicon did not mean to insult anyone of Italian heritage. The reason I'm so sure of this is because he has made many references to his Italian heritage and always in a positive light.

Oh, yikes, not meant to insult anyone I'm sure! I took it as a light-hearted play on words.

I think bonrich might have been referring to the term "I talian." But I really don't think it was meant as derogatory.

I just had to post! I live in Hadley and have for 5 years been able to enjoy our home there at least 6 weeks out of the year. We have been there at all times of the year and try to goto the pool everyday. The folks there are very nice and I have NEVER heard a word like those said here. AND for the first few years, I went on my own several weeks and sat by the pool listening to the conversations in the pool. AGAIN, I have NEVER heard anyone say anything about another Village. I will go on record to say the folks at Hadley are all for all Villages. The only complaint I have heard is "uh-oh...looks like rains a coming".

These are the same people, I'm sure, that go to the squares (usually Spanish Springs) at 8:00 AM and put bags, ribbons, or whatever on the chairs to save them for 10 hours later when they go there.

ok thanks guys....glad for another opinion bonrich.

REally dont' mean to pit one village against another. Just knew some of you Duvallers could refute this!!!

questo è ciò che rende grande questo forum.

And I'm English/French, but I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express in Italy once.
