Default Aluminum Can Disposal Question

We are wondering if there would be an organization in or near TV that uses aluminum cans for fund-raising. Preferably located near Colony Plaza area or the southern end of The Villages.

Default Recycle

St Vincent DePaul Church on 462 North off 466A w/o BuenaVista Blvd has a can and paper recycle station.

We drop our aluminum cans off at our mail station. There are specially marked containers and the Lions Club picks them up.

Default SPCA of Sumter County

All of our cans go here. Patty just took over this month from a lady in Mallory that did this for years.

Hartsville is in Sunset Point and easy to find as it is on Heron Golf course: First Street you pass before reaching the golf course.

You didn't say where your mail station is.

Sorry, I just figured that many of the mail stations had the same thing. We are at the other end of The Villages in Marion County and the mail station is in The Village of Chatham. It would probably be at least a 12 mile golf cart ride from the Colony Area. Today would have been a GREAT day to make the trip. What wonderful weather.

You will find specially marked containers at every mail stop throughout The Villages that are emptied almost daily by members of The Villages Lions Club. This seems better than putting cans out with recyclables that are brought to Orlando with the profits retained by the recycler and not used to defray cost of recycling borne by Village Residents.

Default Newspaper recycling.

Newspapers can also be brought to St Mark's, St. Timothy's and St Vincent de Paul's Catholic Churches and I'm sure other area Churches. The money raised by these churches from newspaper recycling is used to help the area's neediest facing really tough economic problems and bills.
