Well the move is getting closer, i have secured a mover and a home in the rio grande section of spanish springs. I would love any info specific to this village. other than the square which i was at for Cinco de mayo and loved. i am single and wondering if there is anyting specific i should know to help me acclimate. Thanks in advance.

Great area. Close to SS square as well as tons of shopping and restaurants. Congrats!

Ex-northerners. Truth, I miss snow a little. Do not send e-mails to former friends about, I see it is 20 below there and three feet of snow. It is cold here too only got up to 65 today a chance to wear my ear muffs and gloves-glad I took them.

I've realized that palm trees no longer seem strange.

Fall? There is no fall here. Trees loose their leaves in the spring when new buds knock the old leaves off the trees. For some reason there are no dandelions here. However you will find there are thousands of weeds that we did not have up north. Oh, and pigeons I think the birds of prey call them lunch.

A different world.
