Ditto on Smokehouse. If the line is out the door and you do not want to wait, keep going South on 441 to Texas Stockyards on the right. A little more fatty but that's what we like. Also T Weston's in on 301 in Wildwood at the viaduct and Woodys farther down at the turnpike are on our list.

I like Sonnys. They have really good baby back ribs.

Oakwood; Burke's on 466A towards Fruitland Park; Texas Stockyard; Cody's ain't great but I've had far worse. Have heard good things about Woody's but haven't tried it yet. I'm dying to try Sugarboo's in Mt. Dora -- everyone says it is the best in Central Florida.

If you like wet bbq, you may have a problem. Most bbq here is dry rub with sauce on the side. Took me a bit to get used to it but have gotten to like it almost as much as a good, wet, smoked bbq.

Default Oakwood

Another vote for Oakwood hands down. Texas Stockyard does not serve baby back and cannot compare. Sorry, but I am a baby back fan. I stick with Oakwood.

We ate at Woody's and it was pretty good... mind you we are from TN where BBQ is Awesome. Have not tried Burks yet but we will. Guess it depends if you live South or North. For us to go from the South side out to 27/441 just for BBQ it needs to be extra special stuff.

Just had dinner at Woodys and felt like it is equal to Oakwood. I had the ribs and they fell off the none. The Cole slaw was excellent. A plus is if you get there between 3 and 6' you get 20 o/o off your entire bill.!

That is what I miss the most here. I don't like dry rub ribs and unlike you I can't seem to get used to it so I don't even try anymore. I really miss those soaked in BBQ sauce ribs from up north.

We like Burkes, Woody's and Oakwood - just ate at Texas Smokehouse for lunch - way too expensive.. and the food was just so so ...
next on our list is T-Weston's...

Burkes, hands down, is the best for quality and price - BUT, the meat is smoked, not BBQ'd so you must add the sauce (that is provided in three different versions). Great food and service!!!
