If you have i phone buy air tags hide in cart will track locations of your cart battery is good for a year, and easy to change. I have been using this for a year now. And can see address where carts are.

(a)Authorization to operate golf carts on public city roads. Golf carts meeting the definition set forth in section 12-152 may be operated on all public city roads where the posted speed limit is 35 miles per hour or less. Public city road shall mean any thoroughfare maintained by the city that is commonly used for vehicular traffic.
This technically makes it legal to drive a golf cart on Warm Springs road across the turnpike and circumvent the Water Lilly Crossing.

Not a real smart idea. But if you feel compelled, remember, never bring a knife to a gun fight.

Does LoJack still exist? Back in the 1980's my company had it installed in the expensive construction equipment that was normally unguarded.

"You" (referring to ME). Say what? Where did I say I would do that? Please review what you quoted and maybe actually read what I wrote. Here, I'll save you the time even using big fonts like you seem to enjoy:

Yes, watched them go Southbound across 466A onto Pinellas. Unless they were from Beaumont and sneaking into TV.

Yes Home - LoJack

Except most late model cars have their own "equivalents" built in like OnStar (GM), Bluelink (Hyundai, Kia) and others.

Don’t seem to recall that I was referring to you. It was a generic comment directed at those who might be tempted to go and confront the thief. Chill out my friend 🙂

It's funny though. One can drive electric bikes across and even plain bikes but not a GC. Go figya!

No charge. Just the cost of the Air Tag ($30). Of course you need an iPhone as well.

A lot easier to pass a law that would require golf carts to be licensed and registered than a bicycle ridden by a 12 year old.

If the thieves only knew fully the risk that they take clipping anything in The Villages. I understand it's possible????? that many people carry guns???? Can you imagine coming up on someone stealing your property???? I imagine it would not be a very good ending.

Golf carts are legal on city roads in Wildwood.
Sec. 12-155. - Operation of golf carts on public city roads.
new
(a)Authorization to operate golf carts on public city roads. Golf carts meeting the definition set forth in section 12-152 may be operated on all public city roads where the posted speed limit is 35 miles per hour or less. Public city road shall mean any thoroughfare maintained by the city that is commonly used for vehicular traffic.
You missed section (b) right below it:

(b)Operation on public county and state roads. Golf carts may not operate on or cross county roads unless authorized by Sumter County. Golf carts may not operate on or cross state highways unless authorized by the department of transportation pursuant to F.S. § 316.212(2).

RT 301 and 44 is a State Road going through Wildwood. I believe Warm Springs is a county road. One is SUPPOSED to be street legal to drive on or across it. However there is a STATE REGULATION that says if the STATE road SPLITS your actual development, you can cross at a light in a GC.
