Edit and update 11/7 ..... Thanks to post by @Psacc0 Picked up a Grisham 36 x 60 sliding screen door for $80 at Lowes and 30 minutes later all done and perfect. Didn't even have to RTFM! Eazy Peazy
![]() Anyone actually have one installed (or installed one yourself)? What did you use? I have seen a couple sliders online and Lowes but the reviews on them are horrible. Yes, I know I can search the web & Amazon etc and I have, but I am looking for FIRST HAND experience. Don't like the occasional bugs & geckos entering that are always sneaking onto the lanai through the siding or under the lanai entrance screen door and want to keep the door opened in the cooler weather rather than the front door or door into the garage. We do have a garage screen but "stuff" still crawls in!

I tried a Lowes screen without success. I called the warranty department and they provided me with the name of the company that installed the slider. That company had the exact screen door to fit the slider. Delivered and installed in less than 2 minutes. Cost was approximately $115.00.

We got a Pella slider installed from Lowe's that goes out to our birdcage, which has a sliding screen. We keep the screen open for most of the year, but in the cooler winter months we close the screen and leave the slider open all the time. There is nothing like the beautiful fresh cool air circulating through the house, it beats running the A/C. The slider keeps the critters out of the house that still manage to somehow get into the birdcage. The only problem with keeping the slider open is that we often get woken up earlier than we would prefer in the morning, sometimes by birds and other times by landscapers. When the slider is closed, the noise usually does not wake us up. We just got a nice queen size inflatable mattress so we can sleep out in our birdcage this winter next to our pool, can't wait. We absolutely enjoy being outside in the fresh air.

This might be the company that I bought a screen door from. It's been awhile so I'm not positive |

According to the Warranty Dept, T&D Windows installed our 3 panel sliding door. However, T&D claims there’s no screen available for our sliding door. I made it clear that we were only interested in a one panel screen not the double that would be necessary if the whole door was completely open. One panel measure 36”. Doesn’t sound so unusual. Has anyone with a 3 panel slider added a screen door slider?
The middle panel is only 34”. This means that a 36” screen would leave 2” of screen exposed when open. Last edited by REDCART; 11-03-2020 at 11:06 AM. |

We called warranty office & they gave us the info for the screen door which we purchased from T & D Construction in Wildwood. We ordered it & picked it up in a couple of days (it was usually a stock item). My husband then installed it. Works perfectly in our patio door.

We simply called Ro-Mac Windows (352) 261-0391. They came out took the measurements and then installed the slider-screen a couple weeks later. Perfect. We have a 12-foot slider opening to the pool-lanai with two glass panels, one sliding each way from the center. The new screen sliders open the same way.
