When the grandkids visit and it’s raining , it comes in handy. I give them last years book and this years, then ask them to circle all the new ones in this years book. They get a nickel for each one, then we go for ice cream. Gives the adults time to chat.....

Sounds like child abuse to me.

Just kidding

This is a 55 and older community and as long as we have people living here born before 1964, they are baby boomer and not raised on computer but are hands on people that get together Just to socialize.

They book their tee time by phone and hang out at the driveways to chi chat

They experience free internet living

Love it here
Not all people born before 1964 and living here are baby boomers. There are many of us still alive from the "silent generation."

You can pay me to take it off your hands and dump it at closest dumpster.

Not true. It goes to a facility where it provides fuel to burn trash, which is then converted to steam which is used to produce electricity.

True but think of the poor trees that are murdered to give us something most of us do not really want.

Default heres why you get your phone book

It has nothing to do with telephone numbers....it is for the company to make money....they sell advertising in the book....to make it attractive to an advertiser they have to show how many books are distributed thus how many people potentially will see your advertisement otherwise know as the cost of the add divided by total number of copies distributed equals cost per person getting the book....reading the book or keeping the book etc makes no difference in calculating that number

Some people need them. They are the same people that hold up the line while writing a check at the grocery store.

Got mine yesterday. The book no longer fits in the end table drawer where I used to keep them every year (and never used it) which is now a reason to get rid of all of them. It was dropped (actually thrown) off from a huge pickup truck flying 2 huge politically oriented and outdated flags on the back. No matter what your political persuasion is the DISTRIBUTOR of these books shouldn't allow "political messages" on his employees trucks assuming that wasn't the distributor of course. I've seen that truck circling LSL many times.

Or paying cash and saying "wait, I have the 2 pennies somewhere."
