Default Another business is Leaving

Pike's Electric is closing their Sumter Landing Store. Guess they figured its too tough to run a business when your landlord is a partner too.

Personally if I owned a restaurant in the squares that sold liquor & beer I would be ****ed. The landlord charges me rent & sets up kiosks to compete with me.

Just go take a look at the crowds around the outdoor bars at City Fire, Redsauce, and RJ Gators. No problem at all at Lake Sumter Landing.

I do not go to Paddock Square so I have no idea there.

Spanish Springs Margarita Republic and Gators Dockside always have a thriving bar business.

Cheers!

I called Pike Electric in Sumter Landing and asked them if they were closing and the woman who answered said, Oh no, we are just getting out of retail. We have some good sales going on until the end of December. I said then your regular electrical business will continue? And she said yes, but out of their main location in Wildwood.

You run a business properly and things will be fine. I never could understand why Pike started a retail business.

I was an electrical contractor, I had a retail store, too. Most of the time I did a lot of installations of the items I sold--recessed lights, custom switches , ceiling fans, security lighting , surge suppressors, track lighting--get the picture

Also, people who were getting custom houses , want to see chandeliers, & types of recessed lighting- was a real money maker

Thank you GG. We have poster who make wild statements without facts or information. They just want to stir up trouble. I appreciate you getting the truth and posting the truth, not BeeShucks. It is why people respect what you say.

It sure looked like it was from the title of this thread and the OP.

The rents are about $30-35 sq ft, that is not the type of biz that can pay that a sq ft.
