Any geologists in the villages?
I have an object I am trying to identify and would like to learn what it is.

The Villages Gem and Mineral Club meets Thursday nights 6:00 at Seabreeze. I believe there is a geologist or two in the club. And several people who can identify stones.

Did you dig this “object “ up or did it fall from the sky?

Mystery object
Happy to have intrigued other villagers.
It is a cluster of small reflective pieces which can easily be brushed off. Not sure if it fell from the sky or was dug up. |

Doesn’t look like a “rock”. More like a man made material bonded together. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I'm thinking a part of the waste when producing asphalt. It is common to see pieces like that around an Asphalt Manufacturing Plant.
Where was if found? |

It was in our previous home for many years. I came across it when we were moving here so took it along to see if someone can identify it. Getting curious as I get older I guess.
