Default Visits to the Villages

I got a call from The Villages today (it went to my answering machine, so I haven't talked to anyone directly yet).

They were offering another visit to The Villages. I know I've read on here occasionally that people thought you could only do one visit, but that mustn't be the case.

She said they are offering good packages.

many people have posted here that they've taken multiple lifestyle tours.
it's a sales thing, not written in stone, so likely enough true that you can have more than one

We just got back from a 6-day stay in TV. We stayed in the Waterfront Inn this time but did talk to a rep while there. He told us just one Lifestyle Visit is allowed; I didn't tell him I had read where others had done the LSV 2 or 3 times. I have a feeling the reality is that they will allow multiple LSV's as long as someone remains interested in buying...and as long as they have an opening. I don't think they are booked solid right now because they talked like they could get us into a LSV right away, but we decided to keep our plans like they were for this first visit.

It is true that they are not busy now and you can get a visit starting the next day. I called and scheduled the LSP and it could had it start the next day if I wanted.

Talking How nice Kathie......

Thank you sweet Kathie!!! We cant wait . We finally decide on dates, and now all of a sudden the market is really picking up...but thats a good thing...thats a great thing lol!! Nonie has a contract and I have a "possible" offer...we are so excited!!! . We will be there soon thats for sure, it sure would be nice to have it all behind us when we get there so we can really play and have fun . Then maybe I could actually buy while there.

But so as not to hyjack this great post hehe, I was wondering if eventho it would be my first visit and definitely plan to buy if I qualify for the LSV package eventho I will be staying with Nonie and not their rental?

And...as to the question on the second LSV, if they allow because I know my son would want to come down to see where his Mamma is running away to lol and give his final approval (so he will think hehe) .

I hope these two questions werent too confusing, I confused myself just typing it lol lol

Jeanne and Nonie are on our way soon!!!!

i for one, can attest to the fact that you can do more than one LSP....my wife and i did 3 before we we bought....however, i heard fron a friend still in NY that they were recently told that the limit was now 2...as they were just told they could not get their 3rd LSP

I also heard and been told the limit is 2. One for the initial visit then one to buy. BUT, as I found out, the second one does not count if you buy and close via fax, phone, email, etc. Me and wife closed that way, then tried a week later to get a villa so we could sign for our keys, get our IDs, do the orientation, and Builder walk-through. Were told NO, cause even though we had not done a thing we were now reguarded as residents and could not stay there again. I even brought up about those who did LSV many times, and how we had just done one, and wanted to stay close to everything we had to do. Told them we did not care about the free meals, etc, just wnated it cause it was close. So we had to stay at the Waterfront, which by the way is really nice and the people there are AWESOME!!!!

The limit on the number of lifestyle visits seems to change on a regular basis. My wife and I visited on a lifestyle preview in July 2008. We received an invitation from our sales rep in December inviting us back for a second lifestyle preview visit. When I called in May of this year to inquire about scheduling a second lifestyle visit I was told that the limit was one visit. I was told the offer I received in December allowing a second visit was for a limited time only and was not longer valid. Now I hear that some people are again being offered a second visit.

I think that as long as you want to come from May - October you can come every year. At least that is what has happened to us. Since we like to stay more than one week I have turned down the past two invitations. But my agent e-mailed me a few weeks ago and offered another one for next year.

Who knows!

We spent three days on a Lifestyle Preview in April 2007. Next week we are coming for a second visit. The representative I talked to referred to this as a "Return Visit" and not a Lifestyle Preview. We will be staying in a villa at Creekside Landing. I didn't ask about meals, but, I was told upfront that we would not be receiving any free meal coupons. This is fine with us. You can't expect to stay for $75 a night and get free meals every time. It seems like the rules for visits would be the same for everybody.

I neglected to mention that, when I was told in May that you could have only one lifestyle preview visit, I was offered an opportunity to rent a villa for a second visit similar to what you are doing.
