Hi all,
Bob & Tracy from Bermuda building an Ivy on Beeber Ct. (husband wants to petition to change the street name, he's not fond of the teen idol!). We finalize in June and hope to finish by the Fall.
I'm originally from Va. and Bob's family have been on the "rock" for 300 odd years. It'll be difficult for him but with some golf and tennis buddies, he will quickly adapt.
Look forward to joining you all in the neighborhood.

Smile Charlotte it is

We just got back from signing the build contract for an Iris on Mayflower Loop and leaving TV felt more like leaving home than going home to Maryland. Settlement will be in late June and we're planning a slow, year-long transition to paradise. Our original lot selection was in Sanibel, but that lot was just a tad too sloped for an old dawg with metal knees. So we're delighted with a flatter piece of land in Charlotte and looking forward to meeting our new neighbors.

Alan and Helen from Atlanta here, we are building an Iris on Dalkieth right across the street from Beeber Ct. We meet with the design team on Monday, anticipate moving in mid July. We are renting here until the house is done. Welcome to the "hood", can't wait to meet you. Our section is going up pretty fast.

Is there anyone left in the Northeast, you all seem to be here? We run into few Mid-westerners.

Smile Charlotte Golfers

Anyone in Charlotte interested in a ladies or couples golf group? Hubby and I just started playing again and would love to get together with neighbors. Please let me know.

Default Jim & Liz here

We don't look at this very often so we won't respond very timely. Construction is nuts, but the windstorm a week ago was insane. We've been playing golf (level I & II courses) and attending lots of social events.
Would like to see a social for The Charlotte neighborhood. Sanibel has a group. I wonder if Captia would assist?
Does anyone know if you can set this blog up to notify me (e-mail) when someone responds to a thread? Otherwise you have to keep looking.

Default They sure are quick

Larry Dasher and his crew started building our Iris on Mayflower Loop less than 10 days ago and they're already set to put up the roof trusses, etc. These guys are good!!!!!!!!!!

Jim and Maryann, Welcome to Charlotte! Hubby and I live on Yarborough Way. I'll be back in touch right after you move in and, perhaps, we can make it a more personal welcome to you!

I'm in the Village of Charlotte too -- on Oldsmar Terrace. Mom and I closed on May 4th. We are from Michigan. Mom doesn't want to move to Florida so unfortuntately, I will be renting my home out!! It turned out beautiful!

From a TV wannabee: I hope all the new Village of Charlotte residents and soon-to-be residents have many happy years in The Villages.

Default Charlatan

We are new Charlotte residents. Lot 95 or 96 something like that, on Fieldstone path. I am going to try to post a picture out the back of our sand lot when we left in December. We will be back in a week to see how it looks now.

Default Purchased in Village of Charlotte

Looking forward to closing on our home in the Village of Charlotte in a couple of weeks. We will be on Yarborough Way and looking forward to meeting some great new neighbors. Our hometown is Louisville, Ky and we are excited about the Villages.
