Just put a downpayment on a lot in Charlotte on Belcherry. Not sure when we can start the design process for a cottage. Don't know when we could move there as selling our home in NJ may be a challenge.

We put a deposit on a lot in Sanibel last October. Would like to build (or buy a new) Lilac. We will retire in Jan 2015 but want to get the house now to use and furnish. We sold our house here in Cornwall-on-Hudson NY (Hudson Valley area). Had it on the market for 5 weeks and should close July 16th. Found a cute rental in town till we retire. I can't believe how much we accomplished. My husband and I are so focused on the dream of living in the Villages! Feel so lucky that things are falling into place. Will be down this Oct to buy.

Tim and Zina from Alaska , we are building a Gardenia w/side & garage stretches on Dalkieth lot 133 but we can't meet the design team until late August. Expect to be in the house by the end of November. Until then we are renting in The Village of Southern Oaks, look forward to meeting our new neighbors.

Welcome Tim and Zina! We are Richard and Kathleen from Ohio, and we are lot 135 on Dalkeith. We built an Aspen, moved in last month (although we are part-timers and are in Ohio for the summer) and love our new neighborhood. Have met several neighbors, lots of fun folks on Dalkeith. We just decided today to take the plunge and chose a home on Yarborough Way. We expect to close the 1st week of July. It looks like there are many here who will be moving in just prior and soon after we do. So looking forward to meeting everyone who has posted about their move to the Village of Charlotte! Looking forward to meeting all my soon to be neighbors! Congrats to everyone else who have made the plunge
