I have wondered that too. I suspect because TOTV is a private website and the other site competes with the sunny side of this site? Funny, to get actual news you have to go to the dark side.

Failure to yield right of way for the golf cart.

I am not going to pretend that I know the circumstances of this particular accident. That being said, I will say that I have noticed more and more drivers of golf carts thinking they have the right of way over automobiles. Many of them, oblivious to conditions on the road. Each time I enter a gate I have to be extremely careful because so many golf cart drivers seem to think they have the right away and they drive right in front of vehicles entering the gates.

Are you saying it was NOT the golf cart driver's fault?

So? That doesn't excuse mistakes made by golf cart drivers...

You mean "by the golf cart", right?

Looks like you just told us he was at fault. If we don’t know names, privacy intact.

SHAME on those folks just looking and him from a distance and not going to him. SHAME. If that was me I would have chided those folks royally. grrrrr

IMO They do not mention news site cause it’s full of spam and hackers around world? I imagine they don’t want their site infected with slum site. O IMO that’s actual opinionated news especially about the villages.

Yes, drive with caution, but that don’t give GCs right of way.

IMO In what world can anyone make left turn taking the right of way when traffic coming on street with no control lights/signage? IMO golf cart driver needs to wake up they can’t take right of way nearly anywhere on streets or MMP. They have to follow traffic laws and regulations like everyone else. Golf course street crossings are there for street traffic notice of caution, street traffic don’t have to stop, golf carts do, unless other wise posted with street stop signs.

Another thing it’s probably illegal for gold cart in diamond lane to turn left from diamond lane if not definitely not smart? they are required to merge into traffic when safety to do so with blinkers or arm signaling their intention. Been few over years ran over trying to turning from diamond lane and not yielding to traffic across one lane or more of traffic.

Someone called 911 in that group, that’s all I would expect, Unless there is a medical personnel. That person should only check pulse, without ever touching or moving any part of the body including hand or arms, legs, checking if person is breathing. My guess is some present were in the other vehicle, probably in shock. To chastise those who probably either involved, or a direct witness, an unqualified person who happened on accident, should not judge others.

I am not a fan of the AED cowboys, much less an unqualified person touching any part of my being. Speaking to the person to keep them talking, while observing time intervals can helpful to responding personnel. I would never touch anything after checking for a pulse, with 40 plus years of trauma, it’s the correct response unless unresponsive
