Default Anyone 'mooned' last night?

Got home last night, looked straight east about 8pm and the moon was spectacular - large and crisp and faint yellow. Was very low in the eastern horizon then and steadily rose. Going to take a photo, but didn't.

Checked online this morning, and it was a Harvest Moon. Att is a pic from Ft Lauderdale ... same moon that was in our sky here...

Full moon falls on September 24, 2018 for us in the Americas, and on September 25 for much of the rest of the world. It’s the first full moon of autumn for the Northern Hemisphere and first full moon of spring for the Southern Hemisphere. It’s the closest full moon to the September equinox. That makes it the Northern Hemisphere’s Harvest Moon!

No matter where you live worldwide, the moon will appear plenty full to you on both September 24 and 25, lighting up the night from dusk until dawn.

Indeed, and the beautiful light was shining down on my cheeks.

Our house faces east and we added a small patio so we could sit in the evening shade and watch the clouds change color as the sun sets. We never thought we would enjoy it so much. We sit outside at about the same time almost every evening and observe how the waxing moon moves about 13 degrees from its previous position. Not a bad thing for two kids to do.

Sunday at 3:05am the moon was so orange, low in the sky, and looked like it was so close you could reach out and touch it. I actually pulled into a parking lot to take a minute to absorb how amazing the moon looked
