Default Art Classes offered for summer at LifeLong Learning

I may have missed it, but not much of a variety of courses on art offered this summer. One instructor is doing several and she teaches mostly abstract.

Sometimes the courses offered in some areas....strike me as very ....weird.

I have taken some wonderful courses from Nan Klein on color pencil and a terrific one on water color from Jan Ramsey. And I am tempted to take a course in finding our ancestors but I do wonder how they choose some of the offerings and instructors. We have a treasure trove of people I wish would teach courses there on any number of subjects.

One fellow I know is multi talented and recovered his lawn furniture ...with welting! I would take a course on that in a heartbeat.

I could be wrong. I often am. I am not the kind to take a course on the stars guiding me.

I'd love to see more art courses. I wonder if the summer is when instructors leave for vacations as there seem to be more offerings in the winter months.

I'm taking a couple of watercolor workshops and the acrylic painting class, but I did notice a dearth of choices. I'm used to going every Wednesday, all day, for the last bazillion years, and this is going to be an adjustment for me. I like having structure and people while I paint . . . not much of a stay at home by myself painter.
