Default Villages ID Card

Hello,

Totally new member here... thank you in advance for your input regarding my question. I am renting here in The Villages for a short time. I am anticipating having a guest for about a week or so in August. In August, I will not have a Resident ID card, as mine will have expired. I haven't really had a need for it, since I haven't golfed or used the recreation facilities. However, I thought it would be nice for my guest to have the option of all the benefits of an ID card, for use of the exercise rooms, pool, etc... perhaps I can be directed as how to handle this matter appropriately? Again, your direction is appreciated: )

You can get a guest id at a regional rec center or online application at https://www.thevillages.net/

I do not believe you can get a guest ID is you do not have a resident ID. I would check at one of the regional centers - Miona, Colony, etc. You may have to extend your resident card.

PS - the exercise facilities are not free to residents or guests - but you can buy a one-day membership

While you are renting you should have the landlord's priveleges. The landlord surrenders his/her pass(es) and you can temporarily transfer them to you. There is a fee for it, and it's been mentioned in another post recently (concerning someone staying with someone & renting).
Your guest should have no trouble getting a temproary pass. They should have them at the family pool near you.

Yes, there is a $50 fee for renters using owners ID's and it must be arranged through the Villages offices. You cannot get any guest passes without a currently valid resident ID.
