I am sure that you are right (for the last 15 years), but the summer temperatures are increasing and setting records. You can't assume that it stays the same.

I guess it was a good investment to have radiant heat barrier installed in our attic. I don't have those problems with rubbers and plastics stored in my attic.

Sounds lovely but from what I can figure, the only way to cool the attic like the rest of the home is to air condition the space. Is that what you have done?
