Interesting statistic
Over the past two days, (Dec. 29 and 30) we have had almost exactly 2,000 unique visitors. That means that 2,000 individuals in this community visited Talk of The Villages to see what was going on. They spent an average of 12 minutes per visit and viewed an average of 12 pages. They generated over 70,000 page views
Man, if I was an merchant, I sure would want my ad in front of the eyes of all those people.

To be honest with you.....
I really don't read the ads - but as a WANNABEE, the issue is moot, anyway. However, if I were a resident of The Villages, I would definitely support your advertisers.
Just a thought ......... do your advertisers offer a "discount to TOTVers" ? If not, might that be an added incentive for TOTVers to patronize them ?
