Default Auto window tint recommendations

Would like to get the drive/passenger windows of the Escape tinted to match the rest of the windows. Recommendations and pros/cons? Thanks.

Cons yes. The other drivers cannot see you or your face and cannot tell if you are seeing them or paying attention. There's a reason why the windows are not tinted from the factory. It's not safe.

Every state has laws governing the degree of tinting allowed. Here in Florida it is not uncommon to have your front windows tinted lighter than the rear side and back windows. Having this done cuts down on the solar gain and interior temps. It can also protect your upholstery from UV damage and fading.

The better tint is a ceramic tint. It costs more but has better vision clarity if installed properly does not crack, peel or wrinkle.

Another item one can consider in Florida is a dash mat. These are custom made for each model and protects the dashboard from the sun.

Ok, sorry if I wasn't clear. I need the recommendations of companies that will tint my windows. I've had all windows dark tinted for the many years and from being in Law Enforcement all those years, and I'm not saying this to be a smarta**, I really don't care about people being able to see me.

For what it's worth, I was very happy with the place just south of the 441/27 split in Leesburg, on 27. They are on the east side just north of O'Rielly's Auto, just south of Citizens Ave.

The person in there did a great job. This was like 4 years ago. Sometimes these guys move around, so I am not sure if it is now the same person. The ceramic tint still looks as good as the day it was done on both cars.

Huper-Optik, 3M, Llumar are some of the top brands. If you plan on keeping the car more then a couple of years, ceramic is the best.

Hope that helps....Frank
