Hi, How are the conditions of the golf courses throughout The Villages especially in the summer and winter?

Right now they are in great shape, helped by all the recent rain. But this is also the time to aerate the greens, so for about a week the greens will be a bit sandy. They spread that process out so all are not down at once, so the process takes a while to get all completed. But after a week or so, they will be in super shape again. Maintenance schedule is posted somewhere on-line. Start with golfthevillages.com and you can find it.

Something seriously damged the periphery of the greens at Pelican... I'm trying to get an answer what happened... huge square burnt out areas around many greens.

RSH...

I was there about 10 days ago and again today. They were 'burnt' 10 days ago...I asked the starter what happened - bugs, disease, fertilizer? .... he was guessing a chemical/fertilizer burn of some sort. Don't think it was intentional.
