I prefer to go to the movie theater for the large screens which are so much larger than a big screen TV in your living room. Also......there is no comparison to the sound systems in movie theaters. The experience is so much more immersive in a movie theater.

I saw Spielberg's West Side Story on the big screens in movie theaters (3 times) and purchased the Blu-Ray. I haven't seen the film on my big screen TV at home yet but I'm sure I will not enjoy it nearly as much as in the theaters which are equipped for block buster films like that. There is no comparison to a home theater, IMHO.

I was in a theater when the audience broke out in thunderous applause when the film ended. I believe it was "The Producers" with Mathew Broderick and Nathan Lane. There was much laughter through out the film too so yes, agree that is is so much more fun with audience reaction.

LSL is the best town square and because I am a 9 minute golf cart ride from there. Just my opinion.

I hope I see it change back in my lifetime. Streaming movies at home is not the same as the immersive experience in a modern movie theater such as the AMC theater in Leesburg. There is truly no comparison.

West Side Story is one movie I wanted to see on a movie screen but did not get around to it.

Agree with you but people seem to be voting with their feet to not go to a movie theater

There have been a lot of people at some movies at the Old Mill Playhouse especially on Mondays. Mondays are $6 a seat. Used to be $5.

But can they remain profitable on $6 tickets?

Mondays are the discount days. Of course they will be more crowded on Mondays... It's the Tuesday-Sunday that are the problem...

If they did not pay these so called stars ridiculous amounts of money to star in movies would they be able to charge 5-6 bucks?

Would think that would drive demand up quite a bit

Fury IMO was the best movie to see in theaters with good sound IMO.

........Actually, by living in a planned retirement community, a member of that community is taking advantage of the socialism aspects of that community.

If we pay in for 45 plus year’s it’s not socialism, now it I was freeloader and got same benefits then it’s socialism for the freeloader.

Agree OHC socialism for one that don’t pay.

I have seen Fury twice in a theater and many times on Blu-Ray. Great film. Fury - Rotten Tomatoes

I saw Saving Private Ryan seven times in movie theaters but had been going to extreme discount movie theaters in Pasco County and the Clearwater, FL area for the later showings.

Hopefully, the movie will be on the big screens in the theaters again in the future when more of the older people feel comfortable in a movie theater again.
