Default Basic cable prices outrageous, alternatives?

I remember seeing discussions of alternatives to cable for local channels, some kind of attic antenna but cannot find the thread. Please provide the antenna and installer recommendations. Many thanks.

Before you get that antenna - what are you going to do for Internet/Telephone? There may be some newer options...(ChromeCast w/Netflix and PC (cell phone)...

Here's one discussion... Attic antennaes?

We use an antenna for local TV. Tom from Village Audio Video installed it for us. We use it along with a Roku (subscribing to Netflix, Amazon, and Hulu) with paid for internet service only. We only have cell phones, but you can add VoIP phone using your internet.

Best
