I’m replacing the original refrigerator/freezer soon & apparently the original owner never had the necessary pipe work installed to hook up the ice maker. Does anyone know what a plumber would charge to do this? I’m just trying to budget & get an idea. Thanks.

I would call either Mike Scott Plumbing or Kiley and Sons to find out their minimum charge to come to your house. But, I don't think they will provide a cost to install the piping until they actually see the project. There are too many variables. But, I would figure at least $200 to $300, and possibly more depending on how accessible the existing piping is.

If (big IF) your refrigerator is close to the sink (or another water supply) you should be able to run a new flexible line to a tap in the existing water source. Did this is a previous house. Installed enough extra line at the refrigerator to allow remove of the frig if needed. You should be able to find a kit for this where you bought the refrigerator.
