Default Is it possible to play 36 holes in a day?

Just a quick question , is it possible to play 36 holes a day on 2 different championship courses in a day at this time of year?

I am visiting the Villages for a week from Saturday with a friend and I am looking to fit in as much golf as possible......I was thinking that we may try for 2 x 18 hole rounds in a day.......can it be done?

Actually, my wife and I and a visiting couple did 27 once a couple of years ago using golf carts, but given my age and disposition now, I would not consider a 36 marathon. My suggestion would to do 18 maybe even 27 at the most and spend the rest of the late afternoon at the 19th or 28th hole for recovery.

I now prefer a challenging executive 9 reserving the whole afternoon for recovery and hydration at the 10th hole. Ya gotta love TV

Default Possible, but

you might want to take into consideration the time change taking place this weekend back to standard time. That could pose a problem for 36.

If you are just driven to play golf, you could play a championship course early/late and then go to one of the nearby public courses to fill in the available AM/PM time. There are also several "short" courses (par 62, etc.) around. One is near the historic section called the "Lakes of Lady Lake Golf Course." Another is down on SR 44. A lot depends if you are a golfer with a drinking problem or a drinker with a golfing problem. I personally try to strive for balance between the two.

Yes you can do it.

I have done it several times even when the birds are here. I would think that you would just about have to be on the computer tee time system to get this done. I have done this by getting an early tee time off the system via a request then going in and going to the 3 day out option and booking a tee time that I can see that is near the early course.

The last time I did it I played Tierra Del Sol early AM and then Hacienda Hills around 1:15 PM.

It works but you need to leave enough time between tee times and carry your own sandwich and drinks as you won't have time to sit and be served.

I would think that it would be impossible to do this time of the year on the Exec courses.

Just my thoughts.

Thanks for the advice, I think a bit less golf and a bit more drinking will work.....

I will forget the 36 holes and try to get 27 in on a couple of days.......if the drinking doesn't get in the way!!
