Yeah, I can still hear it inside the house but he is gone in less than 10 seconds so the noise is very short lived. I have known guys that wear earplugs because their exhaust is so loud. Not for me, I want to be able to hear the screeching tires of the car that is about to run into me.

I really loved that Norton. I would ride it all week to work and would have to spend the weekend tightening up bolts and screws, adjusting the ignition timing and carburetors. Definitely a love hate relationship with English bikes.

And we are at our absolute tolerance level with the constant lawn mowers and other gas equipment on a daily level. Even a small straw will break an overloaded camel’s back.

They can walk the bike to the main corner and start it up there if they were considerate. My hubby does and our rider friends too when visiting especially early or coming in late. We LIKE our neighbors.

I own and still ride one of those loud Harleys. I modified my baffles with metal punch 30 years ago. I'm aware of loud exhaust and always feather starting and motoring out of neighborhood. Harley's out of showroom are relatively quiet, it costs extra to make them loud.
