Has anyone taken the Amtrak train from Orlando to Ft Lauderdale? If so, what were your experiences?

You can catch the Amtrak bus right at Wildwood that takes you to meet the train at Lakeland. The train from Lakeland goes to West Palm and points south, including Ft. Lauderdale. I took it to Delray Beach a couple times and it was very comfortable.

Just go to Amtrak.com and type in departing station (WWD) to look at schedule.

I did Orlando to Savannah. I loved it.

I have taken AMTRAK to NY Penn Station and it was fine so going south should be fine also. Friends of mine took the Villages Transportation shuttle to Orlando Airport and then took a taxi (located right next door to the shuttle drop off) 15 minutes to the AMTRAK station in Orlando. They said it worked out great.
