Default Gift certificate with new home purchase?

Should I get a gift cert for a lamp post sign with a newly built home purchase?

I sure hope so. Depends on your realtor- I believe it comes out of their pocket. I could be wrong, though.

My Mom's realtor used to give yearly BBQ's as a 'Thank You'. She is a really wonderful lady but all of that came out of her own pocket. Her hubby was in charge of the drinks and her kids and nieces were in charge of the food. Always a great time.

A lot of things new owners get is because the realtor buys it. Not the Villages.

That is true. It does not come with the house. Some sales agents use them as housewarming / thank you gifts.

Right. Ours did. Others offer other gifts.

Received a sign gift certificate from our MLS REALTOR as a closing gift. Greatly appreciated. Was at a 4th of July party and saw 2 camp chairs that had the sales agents name on the back - thought that was pretty clever as well.

Our villages sales agent gave us a gift certificate for the lamp post sign, a bottle of very good red wine, two folding chairs with carry bag and lots of other items. Her name is Jeannie Ulmer.

We got 2 Villages wine glasses with a cheap bottle of wine and a useless blanket. Would have gladly gotten a certificate for a sign.

If you were getting a sign, you would have had it long before this. Agents normally have the sign installed before you close, at least that happened on my two new homes and also the homes I sold. Hopefully, you received lots of other gifts. It's all up to the individual agents.

When my salesperson showed up empty-handed at my second house, I asked her "where's my gift?" She showed up the next day with a big gift basket of chocolates, cheese and crackers, etc. Sometimes you have to remind them.

BTW: she had given me a nice Villages' beach bag filled with goodies when I bought my first house from her, in addition to the sign.

We got Villages wine glasses along with a bottle of wine and a gift certificate for our sign. Our realtor also holds events that he invites us to. We are going to see "The Long Ranger" Thursday in Brownwood with him and other happy Villagers he sold houses to.

We received a $50.00 gift certificate for a lamp post sign; that's more than we expected.

I believe for the first house we received a basket of goodies, bottle of wine and gift certificate. Second house we received two folding chairs and a $50 gift certificate to Bonefish Grill. She knew we really like the restaurant. Laurie Briggs.

We got a gift certificate for a basic sign. We had to pay additional for what we wanted. It was nice of the Realtor though.

My Villages Agent gave me a gift certificate for my sign. I think its up to the individual agent. You'd have it by now if your agent was doing that.
