A well known restaurant in Leesburg, Vic Embers, suffered major fire damage recently putting numerous employees out of a job. Some have been hired by local establishments in The Villages but many have been left unemployed. Although the restaurant is going to rebuild, it's expected to take 6 months. With this in mind, local buisnessman Bill Brooker, long time friend of the restaurateur, suggested doing something for the employees.

On Friday, January 17, 2014 there's a benefit fish fry for Vic Ember's Employees at the Leesburg Boat Club at Venetian Gardens in Leesburg serving from 4-8pm $20 per ticket.
