Legal description “ Ponds may or may contain water”. All the ponds seem to be low right now.

Someone I know heard (yes, I said "heard") that it was an issue with a pipe. I don't know where he got that information or whether it is correct.

If I can find the article, there was a mention of a "pond" being drained due to a problem with the liner, I do not remember which "pond".

The ponds off marsh bend trail in deluna are about empty. I have seen ponds throughout the villages very low on water.

They installed a temporary dam so only 1/3 the pond is drained. The birds had a field day cleaning out the fish.

The ponds are all interconnected for storm water management (SWM). They pumped the water into an adjacent lake so it will refill from there when there with is done.

FYI: 2018 presentation on how the SWM system works.

They will refill during rainy season. The levels have actualy been high since the hurricane and now are closer to the level normal for this time of year.

Not to worry! You and the mosquitos will be happy again in late June when our rainy season resumes. The ponds will refill.

There is more than one pond being drained. Replacing those large rusted pipes.
Many feel that is cause of our sink holes.

It’s the dry season and The Villages uses the pond water to water lawns. It’ll fill up again during the rainy season.
