Default LOST: Golf Buddy

I'm doing this for my TV friend who doesn't have a computer.

He lost his Golf Buddy at Orange Blossom Country Club two weeks ago. It was a gift which he can't afford to replace and he is really distressed about it.

Send me a pm if you have any info. I'll work out a discrete pickup at the Orange Blossom pro shop or anywhere else convenient.

Thanks much.

Default What is a Golf Buddy

I may have found it, but as a non golfer I don't know what I have. Are their a lot of people in my community that can't replace golf equipment?

Depending on where items are found, inexpensive items will be held for one month at La Hacienda, Laurel Manor, or Colony Cottage Regional Recreation Centers. Valuables will be turned over to the Lady Lake Police Department, Sumter County Sheriff’s Office or Marion County Sheriff’s Office within 72 hours. At the end of each month, unclaimed items will be donated to local charities. The Recreation Department is not responsible for lost items

I didn't know either...I thought this was a long time golfing partner. My friend told me there was a funeral last week at St. Timothy's for a fellow called "golf".

I was going to volunteer Sweetie to try to fill the shoes.

I am relieved.

My golf Buddy is a small white square device that talks to me aby providing the distances (front, middle and back) of the green from a tee box , fairway etc. They can be purchased at most of the Villages Country Club golf courses and use to run about $170. giver or take. I forgot what I paid.

I should have been more specific. My friend's Golf Buddy is a GPS device, about 2x3 inches in size, and it is the Tour model. It is worth a couple of hundred dollars.
My friend is not like many golfers here. It is a luxury for him to be on a country club course. He mostly plays the exec courses because they are a better fit for his budget.

My friend went to the pro shop at Orange Blossom and reported the loss later that day. I went with him about five days later and when he asked about it again the man at the desk told him to leave his name and the information, because they couldn't find any record that he had reported it on the day he lost it. He was also not told that the item might be sent to another location if it was found.

Just sitting here thinking. (That's danger) Can Golf Buddy track the unit? Give them a call and ask. All they can say is no.

Hi Pete G,

Your post at the start of this thread said you may have found the lost Golf Buddy. I sent you a private message about that. Could you kindly respond?

Thanks
