Default Dogs

I recently moved to The Villages. I've been visiting here for a number of years and am happy now to be a fulltime resident. I hate to start out by complaining, but I see the inconsiderate people takeing their dogs someplace other than their own house or dog parks to do their "business".
I'm sure this is not the first time someone has mentioned this, but wonder what can, or has been done to curtail this.
Any comments or direction as to possible solutions will be greatly appreciated.

Hmmmm. ......first post......dogs......hmmmmmmm

Do a search for dog poop. You will have enough reading material to last till next year.

Welcome to the villages. What village? When did you move here? Introduce yourself.

Next year is 2015. I think you mean 2016!

Wouldn't it be great if we could hit "rewind" and all the old posts would appear as if new? Then no one would need to complain again--just hit rewind.

Welcome to The Villages, Tmishc2. The reason you are getting this reaction is because this is a common complaint/post on TOTV and it can be VERY inflammatory and people who are regulars here are very tired of seeing it and seeing all the angry posts it causes on both sides. It's not personal, but you will get hit pretty hard for starting, yet again, a thread that has gone around and around with no end or solution. Dog lovers who scoop and aren't doing it are tired of the accusations and having to defend, and people who experience what you do are tired of dealing with the issue. It's not pretty when these posts hit. And gerryann is correct, if you search here there are a ton of previous posts on this topic and you won't have to start a new one. Maybe you can get some good ideas how to handle this issue without this thread going on too long or getting to heated.

I don't worry what goes on on the common property, some body else's property, or the developer property. Why? it's not my property so it's non of my business.

You have to understand self centered inconsiderate people are that way in most aspects of their lives. Not just cleaning up after their dogs.

I agree with Gerryann and I think I smell a fish. . . .

Tmisch2 --You use the term, "takeing (sic) their dogs someplace." So where are they taking them that bothers you? This is quite different than saying people are simply walking their dog. Your reference is that they are taking their dogs to a specific place that bothers you.

I guess this really doesn't bother you too much because after visiting a number of times, you still purchased here.
