Humm, It is Christmas, The music is there for those that have nothing else going on, The restaurants and bars are closed as it is Christmas Eve.

A Merry Christmas to All and to all a Good Night

I bet if there was no music on the square, someone would be posting "why no entertainment on the square....I pay my amenity fees"
See ya can't please everybody!

BTW what does it make you think?

Lots of people have company this time of year, and it's so much fun to take the grandchildren to dance at the squares, even on Christmas!

Merry Christmas everyone!

You should be grateful that there will be music on the square and don't begrudge the restaurant workers Christmas night off. Geeze.

You asked if anyone thinks it's strange that restaurants at Brownwood will be closed on Christmas Eve.
NO, NOT STRANGE, NOT AT ALL!
But it makes me wonder, what does it make you think?

and, there is music in the squares 365 night of the year and I bet the bar on the square is also open for all those thirsty dancers you are concerned about.

We were at Brownwood tonight and all restaurants were not closed. City Fire closed at 7. Cody 's was open until 10. We had a drink at Las Tapas at 9, and then went to WOB at 10 and food was being served. We had a great time dancing, eating, and having cocktails on our first Christmas Eve in The Villages.

I am grateful. That those who are in the service industry can be with their family on one day of the year. Otherwise my table would be empty today. Merry Christmas

We went to the Lutheran Church at 4pm what a beautiful service! We then went to Sumter for some music in the rain...we sat on the hotel rocking chairs and listened for a while...Merry Christmas!

wow, you all have big opinions and shot me down......merry christmas....

Your absolutly right that we have nothing to do....some of us don't have the families who can make it for the holidays...and ..I enjoy listening to the music and scooter is my favorite.

I think if I had a food truck, i might be able to make a lot of money on hungry thirsty people.

We just bring our own snacks and a cooler and keep our money in our pockets....

Catching up on TOTV waiting for the rest of the family to wake and as I was reading the posts this Christmas morning thought the same things - sorry you were shot down like this, but you're not alone. Seems like the Grinch may have inhabited more than a few folks in TV. Merry Christmas even so.
