Default Home warranty companies info needed

Hello again to all. We take ownership in St. James in late November and are considering a home warranty for the 1st year to cover anything that may break; anyone have any experience with them, pros and cons, name if you liked them? Any info would be appreciated.

Don't have a home warranty in this house, as it is brand new. Had American Home Shield for 20 years in my previous home and got my money's worth!

Service America is very good. Several people like Broward's. Haven't had to deal with Republic in awhile but was impressed at how quickly they had someone out to replace a water heater.

Take a close look at your paperwork, your new house has a 1 year warranty on everything, 2 years on selected items, 10years on shingles and the structure of the house, as I recall. All appliances have at least a 1 year warranty. IMO I would suggest waiting a year, then look at home warranty service.

Well, it's not new, it's 3 years old. We just don't want to move and maybe start having issues. Thanks to the others that gave recommendations, we'll check them out.

We purchase American Home Shield (AHS) as house warming gifts when our kids buy a house or whenever we sell a house. Our kids have used their warranty's with costly items and have been very satisfied with customer service. There have been no problems getting a new heat pump and other smaller items replaced. If you worked with a Realtor they can give you a recommendation of what company is best in FL.
