Red, you must have been going the same way as the Whacker to see three men get hit with the plastic bat. Not all the men I have seen driving carts stick there knees out.

Still would like to know when and where this was? Did you get a color of the golf cart the Whacker was using? Perhaps it had some kind of identifying characteristics?

I think we need to check Snopes on this story...perhaps plastic patella whacker would be the key words for the search.

Nope, not toying with you. It really happened yesterday around 5:00 pm. All I saw was the back of the cart -- medium blue, blue and white striped Sunbrella around top, a U.S. flag attached to basket. The driver was pretty tall but really didn't see much of his features, some sort of tattoo on his left forearm.

This happened on the path between 466 and Polo Ridge, the one that runs parallel to the golf course under all the trees. It is a pretty narrow path, so maybe this guy had had to play dodge 'em with knees in the past. I have no idea and I certainly didn't plan to find out.

I still have doubts about this story but if true the man is committing assault and battery and would be arrested under the criminal code and liable in a civil suit.

Redwitch travels the paths more than anyone. I not only believe her, I don't blame her for not chasing this guy down.
