Default "Tis" the season

Please be careful driving out there. It is a ZOO. Try getting out of the stein mart parking lot and turning right to get to 441 is terrible. You have traffic coming out of the kohls parking lot, McDonald's lot, and steinmart lot. Nobody will let you in. Traffic on the road is backed up all the way to the salt room. Something needs to be done before we have a major road rage. Just a heads up so be careful.

Tis the season to leave more time to get where you need to be and have more patience. Traffic is heavier and one has to be more cognizant of new people to TV and their need to have more time to decide where they are going.

Like anything else, one must be prepared for the unexpected. Still, it's nothing like the traffic in major cities.

There's usually a second or third way to get out of those places. When I see traffic backed up like that, I try something else. I'd rather take a circuitous route and keep moving than go the shorter route and sit in traffic. I'ts more peaceful!

Can anyone imagine the traffic and the complaints about same IF a Costco or Trader Joes ever came to the area? LOL

I get such a kick reading complaints that there is not enough of this or that in/near the Villages - and then read the complaints about traffic, parking, too big, too many people, etc!

How many people have left "home" for all of the good things about the Florida environment, the Villages lifestyle, a new beginning - and then whined about how the new surroundings should offer more of what they left? smh

"Home" had 9 million people in close proximity. Throw in a little snow and ice and Christmas shopping. And people trudged on, because they figured this is normal and no use whining.

If everyone would treat the other driver the way they would want to be treated things would not be bad at all.

Maybe it is because we live in a retirement community but it seems like there are just too many old folks (use your own definition of what age = old) who are always in a hurry, are just rude and selfish when it comes to whose turn or next.

Thankfully they are in the minority, but they are so well distributed among us it seems like there are many more of them.

I wasn't complaining but letting you know that it is hard to get out of the lot at stein marts either way you want to go . Just be considerate of people wanting to exit the lots. If you Know a better way to get out I would, like to know.

I didn't take the OP's message as a complaint, but simply a friendly heads-up to be cautious.

All that is needed is drive out the back entrance to Stein Mart and you are now on the main entrance road and have right of way through all the congestion, then it is up to you if you let others turn etc.

I so agree with you! Was over there yesterday and it was horrible. It was an "everyone for themselves" fiasco. IF that road would circle back to the gas station across from Water Oak it would or might take up some of the slack.

I was careful but people were being aggressive trying to get in the traffic line in a way that wasn't safe from un-coming traffic. You can't drive in an aggressive way here or you might end up in a pile-up. That said, we still are a "bit" better off than large cities---think Orlando, Miami, N.Y., Chicago and others.

Sounds like Cape Cod during the summer beach season.

Me too and I add my own note of caution. There are many posters I have never met but still hold dear and I want them all to be here when "high season" is over. Bad driving abounds. YES IT DOES.
