Default a big THANK YOU to grounds keeper crews

I hope many will join me -- and not steal this thread for their own purposes - I for one, would like to thank all the grounds people who work hard 5 days a week making this place look like heaven on earth - we go by them every day in our golf carts, cars, bikes, etc, while they are hard at work - take a minute and say thank you - I am sure they would appreciate it.

Yes, The Villages provides good employment for so many people in this area. Just think what the area employment rate would be without The Villages.

And yet, at The Christian Food Pantry in Lady Lake, we provide groceries to around 435 area families per month.

These hard working groundskeepers do deserve a huge THANK YOU from all Villagers for keeping The Villages one of the best kept places in the USA and kudos to 123Cookie for starting this thread.

They do a great job for little money. I try to have some cold bottles of water in my cart to give them when on my rounds. It is greatly appreciated by them and is an easy thing for me to do (and gives me warm fuzzies).

While I was on the golf course the other day, a grounds keeper stopped while we all teeing off. I openly thanked him then said a silent prayer that he too could one day retire in a beautiful place like TV.

I am thankful for all that makes this place so very beautiful.

OP - thank you for starting this thread!

I so agree. If I can I always thank them. I am thankful for the whole process that allows us to live inside a huge arboretum with beautifully maintained grass and flowers too.

What a great thread as it is so true how lovely the grounds are all around TV - kudos to the men and women who work hard each day to keep them that way! And great idea, redwitch - worth repeating!
