What's the over/under on the opening date for all of Eastport to be opened? I'm thinking maybe Sept 2026 might be realistic?

Maybe, non-Villages businesses in Eastport seems to be roughly 12-18 mo behind Middleton.

It looks like too much is being built in a small area, just like they did at Sawgrass.

Actually, we think the new Middleton shopping area looks much better than Eastport.

Apples and oranges.

Much of the Middleton Downtown (several buildings) is commercial office space (to be) occupied by Villages employees and their business partners.

Several hundred people are already working there. A few family/employee oriented restaurants and shops are planned to be mixed in with the commercial spaces.

Eastport will have the Sales Center but it appears 3-4X the consumer (restaurants, shops, etc.) space of Middleton.

And of course the massive new recreation center with all the amenities plus the lake, driving range, golf, etc.

Default No Golf Cart gas in Eastport?

I was surprised that the golf cart store does not appear to have a golf cart gas station. Seems like the folks in that area and all of us who drive golf carts there will really need gas..

I would've thought the developer would've learned from the Sawgrass parking disaster that co-mingling parking between an entertainment area and a Regional Rec center is a terrible idea. It seems like they just gave up on a solution for Sawgrass and then relied on people deciding to no longer go there which seems to have worked as it's rarely close to capacity like it used to be.

Was just down there last week, was amazed that as far as I could see there were NO services under construction. I did not see any gas stations, stores, pharmacys, etc Are there any planned, or is it just speculation? Yea I see the one new resturant but other than that I did not see anything.

There's the 7 11 in Magnolia and they just announced a Circle K in Middleton.

Rock climbing will be busy. Our Lifetime Fitness center had 3 levels for adults. Slots were booked weeks in advance. My instructor was 73, the advanced wall curved at the ceiling, it was like watching Spider-Man. Spotters however were staff, and in their 20s. Unsure who will be manning the wall, it will be interesting with a much younger generation moving to TV
